JPM2018 – C04 – A New Optional English as a Second Language Course

In order to offer optional units in secondary four and five which respond to the needs of students in the general education program in adult education centers of the Montérégie, the sub-committee of the A.G.E. (Adult General Education) invited several teachers to develop optional courses, including ANG-5106: Current Events. This course is open to adults who have completed their mandatory secondary five requirements. It is designed to enable them to utilize their knowledge of English in order to understand the news as well as to produce their own news reports, in print and audio-visual form.
We will present projects and learning situations that you will be able to use when you offer this course at your center next year.
